VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE: poster design
VSMS (as we space-savers like to call it) is a hilariously tragic tale driven by sibling rivalry and the regretfulness that comes with age. What stands out the most about this play is the delightfully odd cast of characters, and for the poster I wanted to express something about each of them individually. I thought primary colors worked very well for this show, not only because of a certain costume piece prominently featured on stage, but also because these colors are at their boldest and wildest when paired with each other—much like the siblings in the story.

Below are samples of digital imagery I created for e-mail and social media campaigns during the run of VSMS. I was pleased that the bold palette I'd chosen for the poster continued to work with the production photos, because it seemed to perfectly capture the show's manic sense of humor.
